I guess I will start off just telling you what we did for camp. We had probably about 100 students at camp separated into their different teams according to what country they were going to. A normal day consisted of a cold shower (a hose) and breakfast at 7:30, devotions from 8-9, then two teaching sessions until lunch at 12:30. After lunch we had team builders until dinner at 6 I think (it seems like so long ago), and then worship at night.
Team builders were usually ridiculous tasks taken seriously by the team. For example we were put in an imaginary situation of just being in a plane crash and having to get from one point to another as a team. Members of the team would have different injuries such as being blind, mute, not being able to use arms or legs, or unconscious. So as you can imagine having mute people trying to explain to blind people where to carry unconscious people got a little wild. Being put in these stressful situations helped our team learn how to work together, trust each other and discover weaknesses and strengths. It was challenging and rewarding, but let me just say I am thanking GOD for blessing me with such an AWESOME TEAM!!!! The people on my team are so amazing and love God a ton! I could be like best friends with every person by themselves, but it’s even better to hang out and serve God with all of them everyday! Our leaders confidently live for God and I can’t wait to learn more from them.
Worshiping with a bunch of other people who are sacrificing a ton because they love God so much was amazing! Training camp was a great way to kick off what I know will be an incredible trip!
I just sit here with tears dripping down my cheeks as I see the heart you have to serve Jesus….Thanks Caleb for growing up to be such an amazing man of God…
AWWW! well thank you very much! He is so good to serve. Miss you!
